Gnome Delivered and ready to be auctioned off

All right, I have finished my gnome and dropped here off at Cabbatown Clay and Glass works for the May 11 auction. I think she looks pretty good in my garden. I hate to part with her.
On Saturday, May 11, from 4:00 – 7:30 pm, the Cabbagetown Clay and Glass Works (CCGW) and Garden*Hood, are making it easy to own your own Gnomes in the Hood.  Enjoy the sights and scents of spring plants, sip a cocktail, and view garden gnomes of all varieties.  The event will feature one-of-a-kind gnomes (or “gnomesses”) created by 25 local artists (painters, sculptors) who have joined forces with CCGW’s artists.  The unique gnomes will be auctioned off by silent auction with light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the luscious flowering space of Garden*Hood, a neighboring plant and garden center.  Gnomes in the Hoodwill benefit CCGW, http://ccgworks.wordpress.com/ a non-profit, cooperative, artist-run studio, and to support their community outreach.   CCGW members will be presenting free workshops to local transitional housing programs for women and for veterans.
The Gnomes in the Hood fundraiser coincides with Garden*Hood’sMother’s Day Bouquet Buffet, a yearly tradition where individuals can create the perfect container garden for mom. Staff of the independent retail garden center set up a “buffet” of the supplies you’ll need as well as a nursery full of plants and pottery from which to choose.  Kids of all ages are welcome.  TheBouquet Buffet is open 10am – 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12.
It is easy to attend both events, as well as to shop in the Cabbagetown Clay and Glass Works’ studio, since they are located across the street from each other on the corner of Boulevard and Woodward Avenues, between I-20 and Memorial Drive.  CCGW is at 588 Woodward Avenue, 30312 and Garden*Hood is at 353 Boulevard SE, 30312.
Here are s few of the amazing gnomes created by the folks at CCGW. Awesome!!!
