The Decatur Market & Gallery invites you to join us on SATURDAY, OCT. 10 for a gallery reception honoring "Outsider Art." Honored artists are James Loftus and Betsy Halford. The reception will be from 5 - 10 p.m.and will include complimentary wine, hors d'oeuvres and an outdoor artist market. Free to attend. Join us! After the reception, we encourage you to dine at one of our neighboring restaurants: Natalie's Fish House (www.nathaliesfishhouse.com), or Cafe Lily (www.cafelily.com) The Decatur Market & Gallery is proud to host a free reception to celebrate two artists: Betsy Halford James Loftus Betsty Halford and James Loftus use found objects to create unique 3-D narrative assemblages that are proudly "Outside" the norm!These dynamic artists give new meaning to repurposed materials. Each piece has an accompanying recipe, explanation or documentation of authentictiy. From themes such as introspection to capitalism, each piece is thought provoking, evocative and unique, challenging the viewer to contemplate. Some invoke whimsy and artistic flourishes, prompting a smile. It's just too hard to explain... come see for yourself!
